Welcome to Linda’s Patchwork!  I am based in the Highlands of Scotland about 20 miles north of Inverness, where I was born.  I returned to the Highlands in 2004 after some time living in Teesside/North Yorkshire.

I have been doing craft work since 1984, having been interested in all kinds of crafts since a child.  I am City & Guilds qualified in Patchwork and Quilting and love experimenting with unusual materials and embellishments.click here to see more

I make traditional cotton patchwork quilts and other smaller items.  One of my most popular items is a tweed throw, which I make from remnants and roll ends of tweed (all new, unused fabric) to make them affordable.

Every piece is unique.  I never make two the same!  Again I experiment, this time with colour combinations which reflect what I see around me in the Highlands at different times of year.  Tweed throws are warm and hard wearing as well as being a traditionally Scottish item.  I also use the tweed in scarves and cushion covers.

I enjoy working on orders and commissions for customers and if you have an idea we can discuss your requirements to produce your exclusive item in patchwork, quilting or appliqué.  Take a look at my gallery for some ideas!click here to see more

If you want to make a quilt yourself but do not know where to start I can help you design your own quilt with templates for the pieces and outlines to experiment with colours.  Perhaps you have already started a quilt or other piece and have lost interest or you are “stuck”.  I could help you finish your UFO (unfinished fabric object) or finish it for you.
